IJMB in Umuahia, Abia State

Abia State is a state in the south eastern region of Nigeria. The capital is Umuahia and the main business location is Aba,and some time ago a British frontier government station. Abia state was created in 1991 from Imo State and its inhabitants are dominantly Igbos, accounting for over (95% of its populace). It is also one of the nine constituent states of the Niger Delta region.

English language is generally spoken and serves as the official dialect in administration and business. Abia's 2.7 million population are mainly Christians. Abia is considered to be amongst the most tranquil states in Nigeria therefore very attractive to investors. The state government operates a 6-3-3-4 educational systems in its public schools like other states in Nigeria. Abia state has many post-secondary schools, universities and other vocational institutions that are either operated by the government or private entities.
