Zamfara State is one of te north western states. It extends up to the bend of River Rima to the Northwest and River Ka towards the Southwest. Zamfara is mainly dominated by the Hausa and Fulani. Other ethnic groups in the state includes the Kanuri, Nupe and Tivs. The occupation of the people of the state is primarily farming producing both food crops and cash crops. There major ethnic groups in the state, are the Kanuri, Fulani, Bade karekare, and Hausa.
